A Teacher a Day can keep the Doctor Away Diorama-teacher shadow box-back to school art
 
This box is 9 x 6 x 2". I painted it a deep cornhusk shade of yellowish brown and stamped alphabet letters on the inside. On top of the box are the ABC's and 123's. Inside has measuring tape at the top and music strips at the bottom. An apple with the word teacher on it is displayed alongside a vintage upcycled brooch basket of apples. The word fortitude is above the apple. A mini eraser w/the word teacher on it is glued inside with a red heart at the top. The teacher's desk has books, a flower plant with the word "friend" written on it, because most teachers are friends. I even made up a cup of hot cocoa inside the little white mug. Four students are waiting for their teacher so they can learn from their math, reading, and history book.
 
This box doesn't have a hanger on back but, it can be hung without one or the box can sit freestanding. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
Please do not pull on objects, as they can be removed with enough force.
