Shadow Box Art - Blue Nutcracker-mixed media, pearls, OOAK, unique gifts, snowflakes, winter theme.
 
This started as a 5 x5" unfinished wooden box that I painted in a shade of pearlescent, icy metallic blue. It's framed in baby blue self-adhesive pearls. Inside the box is a nutcracker, blue glittery snowflakes, a little bottle Christmas tree, and acrylic cabochons, along with other mixed ephemera. Little bubbles give the hint that the snow is melting. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. It'd make a great gift for snow, winter, nutcracker, or ballet lovers. The options are endless. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece can be hung with the rope hanger and it's also equipped with a sawtooth hanger on back, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
