This 12 x 8 x 1.5" box started out as unfinished wood. I gave it a dark cherry stain and then provided a medium for a rustic/distressed look and washed it with a robin's egg blue shade. The box is trimmed in buttons and fabric and topped with a pumpkin drawer pull. Inside lies a resin fairy door covered with dried moss, with a little bird perched within. A vintage yellow suncatcher catches the eye with a butterfly in front of a background on cardstock. Small gnomes, a rabbit, a cat, and small birds all want to be invited inside while a little angel gurards the home with love. More treasures are within including a glittered handmade bell and a small square bezel containing an owl. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. This box contains a sawtooth hanger on back for hanging but, is also freestanding. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece can be hung with the sawtooth hanger on back, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
Please do not pull on objects, as they can be removed with enough force.
