Cabin Fever Perfume Oil - oatmeal, light brown sugar, drizzled honey, caramel liqueur, light vanilla, Saigon cinnamon, bananas, rich ambrette, and raisins soaked in aged bourbon.
When you first heard the words ‘cabin fever, in your lifetime, what did you think it meant? Most likely, when I was very young, I probably thought it was a kind of fever that you got when you stayed in a cabin. We had a very small cabin so, I can picture this still. But, even if you never heard those words, I imagine at some point, within these last two years, you knew it without having to experience it. I’m pretty sure I never had it during Covid. Even when we didn’t have work, I always found things to occupy time. And when we finally got to go back to work, most places still didn’t operate functionally or, were even open. Some, closed for good.
The scent that brings me home, even when I didn’t have a lot of food back in the day, is oatmeal. I could always have extra oatmeal and a can of soup no matter what. I love any kind of oatmeal, whether it’s instant, baked, steel cut, freshly made on the stovetop. It doesn’t matter. And whenever there’s extras, they go in too, such as, bananas, raisins, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, you get the picture. Even nuts, once in a blue moon.
However, all that said, my favorite oatmeal of all is just plain old oatmeal laden with cream, drizzled with a bit of honey, butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Cabin Fever is the yummy essence of baked oatmeal, drizzled with honey, sprinkled with cinnamon, and lots of brown sugar thrown in for good measure. You may catch a whiff of light spiced vanilla and a few sliced pieces of sweet banana. Cabin Fever even has the added extra of caramel liqueur and raisins soaked in bourbon. It’s a smooth soft, bready goodness after the dry down.
