Chansons Perfume Oil - lavender, blueberry, lemon, lingonberry, banana, chamomile, honey, and French Vanilla.
French songs in the form of scent.
Chansons is French music with lyrics and vocals. There are different genre of chansons, just like with any music. My favorite chanson artists are Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich, when she sang French songs, even though she was German. American born Josephine Baker and Dumia follow closely behind. I appreciate French chansons from the 1930’s through the 1960’s. Like with everything else in life, I like variety, chansons de noel, chansons Francaises, chansons d’amour, chansons Medieval, chansons de be’be’….I could go on. When our children were younger, I’d play them many French lullabies.
For this perfume, Chansons, early spring was in my mind when I came up with the notes. French Lavender was essential, along with sweet summer blueberries, tart lemon and spicy lingonberry for zest, chamomile for soothing, honey because it smells good in most anything, hints of vanilla gourmand, and fresh banana for an exotic fruity twist.
This scent actually became very suitable for the autumn season too. And winter. And summer. The sugary sweet, summer warm weather blueberry meets its cousin, the spicy tart lingonberry of colder climes. The French Lavender and lingonberry play quite well off each other just as blueberry and lavender do. One of my favorite cups of coffee is lavender blueberry with a hint of lemon. And let's not forget a gourmand version of vanilla. And when does chamomile and honey not go together? One thing I've come to find too, is that blueberry and banana are amazing together even though this fragrance only has a hint of banana. I'm really loving the different players in this. It definitely could be unisex with that note of spicy lingonberry. Chansons, a spicy floral gourmand.
