Many years ago, I read a fictional book that sort of peaked my interest about these images made on silvered coppered plates. The entire history of the daguerreotype, from the way they were made, to their reasons for use, was captivating.
 
This scent was inspired by the story, which took place in NOLA, mid-1840’s, during the Yellow Fever epidemic.
