Death by Honey Perfume Oil - raw honeycomb, sweet honey, bergamot, incense, spicy carnation, dried flowers, ho wood, opoponax, and a deep sensation of something ‘differently dark’ with depth, yet sweetness. Can’t give away all my secrets.
Miel, honing, honig, miele, miere, med……no matter what country you’re from, you’ve most likely heard of honey. This is a honey lover's dream.
Honey has always been one of my favorite scents and flavors. Even all the variety of honey colors appeal to me. I love all kinds of honey with bread, tea, cheese, milk, and even use it in a fig and honey yogurt shake I like to make and a honey cake for each new year. Bergamot gives this scent a crisply tart refreshing twist, while incense provides depth and mystery. Carnation blends in for a spicy floral, along with dried flowers of extra rich ylang ylang and jasmine. Ho wood and opoponax essential oils are grounding but, actually make the fragrance even deeper. The star of this scent is honey itself, raw and fresh, right out of the comb, and the waxiness and distinct scent created by the honeybee.
How to explain this? Definitely unisex. One must love honey at the very least. Ylang Ylang is a very heady, narcotic floral that has been described as having the scent of custard, bitter orange, honey and spice. Death by Honey has all, and then some. Honey can be a very complicated scent. In DBH, the honey is sweetened and has a raw nectar like scent. There are over three hundred varieties of honey so, it’s very natural for various aromas to present themselves differently to people. For me, every variety is like nectar of the gods. Seriously, light, dark, creamed, I play no favorites with this little beauty of a gem. I could go on and on, a honey journey of sorts, all the medicinal properties, all the flavors, varieties, skin care uses, but I won’t. Honey can be sweet, earthy, woody, floral, spicy, nutty, the list goes on.
This scent is for all the honey loving connoisseurs and wanna-be (e)zzzz, get it? Sweet, dark, spicy, gourmand, no matter. Honey is a scent that can be mixed with just about any other fragrance note known to mankind. It’s that versatile. So, feel free to mix it with lavender, coconut, amber, lemon, peppermint, vanilla, chocolate, whatever your poison may be. Who can’t love honey? Seriously. It’s sweet, gooey, sticky, soft, golden, thick, all good words. Well, I’m sure there are bad adjectives for honey too. A Taste of Honey…..describe what Death by Honey smells like to you.
