Eldritch - an earthy eerie fog, driftwood, a distant bonfire, sweet resinous ganja, green firs, green coconut. The entity and essence of Eldritch.

For a long time I’ve wanted to do a scent based around the eeriness of Eldritch. Don’t be confused though. This is not about the video game or the musings of H.P. Lovecraft.

Eldritch is prolific. It encompasses avid eccentricity but branches out into the unknown. It’s an entity, the old ones, in the rawness of midnight air, watching a late night bonfire beach party in the Pacific Northwest, driftwood washed ashore, light of the full moon shaded by mist, rawness of green coconut, a whiff of sweet resinous ganja floating in the air. It’s mythical, unexplained, non-molecular, not human, not animal, alive but not, both cool and warm. It can’t be interpreted because it doesn’t exist. It’s the essence of raw uniqueness. If it were a color, it’d be “metallic bayou”.

Eldritch is a green fragrance. You may ask, how can it be green and not be living? That’s what makes the sensation inexplicable. It makes no sense. After all, when does one see coconuts in the Pacific Northwest?
