Favorite Playlist Perfume Oil -warm milk, honey, cinnamon, clove, sugar, orange, and anise. A scent for the music lover in you.

After one of my favorite scents was discontinued years ago, I’ve been trying to reformulate something as close to it as possible. This scent is the result of this experiment. It’s a sweet, creamy scent with a bit of cinnamon and clove for spiciness, a hint of orange for fruitiness, and a few drops of Chinese Star Anise for that little added ‘extra’. Since I will love this fragrance for years to come, I associate it with music because my love for it is never-ending, hence the name ‘Favorite Playlist’. The scent is warm and sweet and for both women and men. If there was a category for ‘FP’, it’d be ‘delicious’. It truly is a gem at night to wear to bed and cozy up in warm blankets. It reminds me of younger years when I used to drink ‘Sleepytime’ tea at night before bed.

Favorite Playlist. Where do I begin? Everyone who likes music knows they have a certain few songs they listen to more often than others. I have so many "playlists" and they vary in the styles of music. The order in which they are played depends on the mood.

At Christmas, I listen to only those playlists of Christmas Big Bands, Christmas Jazz, Christmas Relaxation, and Christmas Classical. A few others are thrown in just for variety. I even have a playlist for October, everything from Windam Hill to Nox Arcana, Diary of Dreams, Midnight Syndicate, up to Dark Sanctuary. I've an entire 80's playlist that is just awesome and reminds me of so many good times, along with, Choral, Slow Classical, Classical Speed, Country, Gospel, Jazz, Meditational, Sleep, Soundscores, Soundtracks, Spa, and Zen. There is even a piano section specified for the music of Beegie Adair. Much of my jazz music is from the female vocalists such as Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf, Astrud Gilberto, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, Shirley Horn and newer jazz vocalists such as Melody Gardot, Jane Monheit, Madeline Peyroux, and Arielle Dombasle. There is what I call the "1st set" which encompasses a bit of everything from Alison Krauss, Cowboy Junkies, Goldfrapp, Mazzy Star, Katie Melua, Lou Reed, Moby, Muse, R.E.M., Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, Sheryl Crow, Sia, and Velvet Underground along with numerous others. My favorite section on my playlist is probably "soundscores". I love the movie scores of Alexandre Desplat, Eleni Karaindrou, Howard Shore, John Barry, Michael Nyman, Zbigniew Preisner, Abel Korzeniowski and too many others to name. Other favorites include Kim Kashkashian, Ludovico Einaudi, Anouar Brahem, Valentin Silvestrov, and I love Clint Eastwood with his simplistic form of piano notes. This is just a mere sprinkling.

I've tried to create this scent in regards to my own personal favorite playlist. There's really no beginning and certainly no end in sight as with all music. Each note represents a different playlist.
