This little wood box, 5 x 5 x 1 3/4" started out unfinished. I stained it and then gave it a distressed/rustic look with a silvery pink white pearl finish, then applied a thin glaze of glitter and tiny pearls throughout. The box is trimmed with light rose pearls, an angel, and other small pieces. The entire box is lined in a sheer floral fabric of pink, green, and white. Inside are two little charming angels that I upcycled a bit with small embellishments. Two glass crosses surround an upcycled pineapple brooch. Also, there's a little surprise glass jar containing several varying shades of tiny resin pearls and ephemera.
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile.
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece is equipped with a sawtooth hanger on back in order to be hung, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.
