Incense in Snow Perfume Oil - incense, snow, cedar, smooth myrrh, white musk, nag champa, tobacco, long leaf pine, woods, and champagne.
Inspired by my love for burning incense in the snow.
Think ancient incense notes of myrrh, light patchouli, nag champa, on top of a clean fresh layer of snow. This isn’t a head shop kind of incense, nor is it a church incense. It could be but, it's made fresh and clean with enveloping notes of white musk and ozone reminiscent of new snow, followed by juniper. In the background lies a milk note of cedar burning in a fireplace and pipe tobacco, wafting across the snow. There are snow covered pines amidst these other notes and a couple drinking champagne celebrating the winter season. One may even detect clean notes of elemi and an herbal note of petitgrain.
The idea for this fragrance came to me (actually long ago) while I was outside in the hot tub looking at the night sky, still snowing, and a blanket of snow already on the ground. There is no lovelier sight. Whenever it snows, I take three to four incense sticks and put them upright in the snow to burn. Each one celebrates a life of one who is no longer with us, whether it be human or fur baby best friends. Each one deserves recognition in their own way and good memories from the past float with them. I prefer to mix ancient incense of frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, nag champa, pine, pipe tobacco, musk, and conifer. Combined with snow, they work for me.
