Yes, I purposely spelled "macaroon" with two 'O's instead of one. Technically "macaron" is for the French version of the tasty ganache like treat but, I prefer the old-fashioned version spelling that is associated with the southern coconut macaroons from back in the day.

Actually, I was inspired by this scent after having a wide array of macaroons while visiting in Paris. Of course, I loved them all, pistachio, almond, rose, jasmine, violet, lavender and every other flavor I could get my hands on. These were such a delicacy and I'm always reminded of Paris when I allow myself the luxury of a buttercream macaroon of this sort. I told my friend of this "falling" in love with the macaroons while in Paris and she sent me some hand-picked ones on my birthday. I was totally delighted. I wish they'd make ice cream in these unique but, astonishing flavors.

This is a very sweet "gourmand" fragrance which is more associated with the macaroon itself and the buttercream but, the jasmine is assuredly included in this yummy scent along with the bit of white chocolate added. This is a definitive year round fragrance supposedly because everyone can associate sweets of this variety at all times. The hint of jasmine gives it the feminine floral touch but, hey if you're a guy and love sweets and macaroons, I say go for it.
