Lavender’s Blue Perfume Oil -honeyed lavender, ube, rich coconut milk, black tea, wildflower honey, soothing chamomile.

This scent represents the softness of sing-a-song time. It’s from the Lullaby Dream Series of scents.

So, so many colors of blue. Periwinkle, cornflower, iceberg, cyan, sapphire and the list goes on. Lavender’s Blue is a lullaby song I used to sing to all our sons while rocking them to sleep. It was one of many lullaby tunes. All those songs are revisited over and over for comfort. Recently, I made an entire playlist of nothing but those simply sweet lullaby tunes.

This scent however, came about from playing around one evening while trying to make a unique boba tea, something that was a deviation from the regular go-to’s. The actual drink was somewhat, completely accidental. It came to fruition by mixing lavender water, honey, coconut milk, black tea, brown sugar boba pearls and ube condensed milk. I loved the drink so much that formulating it into a scent was a must. It really wasn’t meant as something I was going to release scent-wise, but one of my customers that received it as a sample insisted I make it into a scent because it reminded her of the time she lived in Kauai. So, what started as a comfort drink/scent/song for me can now be a scent memory for someone else.

The name of the scent, like the song, Lavender’s Blue, comes from the color of lavender and the shade of ube, like the purple sweet potato. The lavender is a bit on the candied, warm honeyed side, not so herbal like lavender essential oil. The distinct nuttiness of ube is present and the creaminess of coconut milk is slight. There’s a soothing note of chamomile, along with the richness of brown sugar boba pearls and a lingering sharp note of hot black tea. If scent had a color, this one would be a mix of cornflower and periwinkle blue.
