Mermaid and Dolphins shadow box art - art assemblage, mixed media, one of a kind, ocean diorama, seahorse. 
 
This 5 x 5" box started out as unfinished wood that I painted an icy light lemon shade. The outside of the box is lined with blue rhinestones. Inside are sealed layers of caviar beads and glitter which represent the sandy ocean shore and the colors of the water. A small mermaid is in the middle surrounded by two dolphins, a seahorse, a small turtle, and two little snakes. Other tiny cabochons and rhinestone beads are included along with tiny bubbles. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece can be hung with the rope hanger and it's also equipped with a sawtooth hanger on back, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
