Mermaid's Rock shadow box-diorama-3D art-mixed media-assemblage art-hanging wall decor
 
This box is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 1" painted in an icy metallic blue shade and lined with orange and yellow ribbon trim. Inside is filled with large glitter and caviar beads for sky and sand. One mermaid sits on a shell, while the other sits on a whale, while two little dolphins jump above them. Buttons and rhinestones simulate sunshine as it rises over the rock. Blue glass represents the ocean waves. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece is freestanding but, can be hung with the sawtooth hanger on back.
 
This item is for home decoration only and is not a toy.
It is not intended for small children.
The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. Don't pull on the objects, as they can be removed if pulled hard enough.
