As usual, there is a story behind this scent too. The key word here would be ‘memories’. On Christmas Day each year, when we were young, my Dad would always put an apple and an orange in our stockings. We usually had oranges and apples or both in our home at any given time so, it wasn’t so much a novelty for us. Our dad would usually wind up eating them. But now, I crave that succulent juicy orange that’s been placed inside the refrigerator to get cold. While at work, I look forward to a lunch break so that I can pull out those mouth-watering orange slices. It truly has become a delicacy. I love them all, Navel, Blood, Valencia, Mandarin, it matters not. All are good for my palate. This particular orange is sugary sweet mixed with pungent, strong oranges with hints of clementine mixed within.

So, the ‘evergreen’ portion of this scent also comes from wonderful memories of staying with my grandmother. She cleaned the church each week before services on Sundays. She scrubbed everything spiffy clean and allowed me to do some of the scrubbing too. She used Pine oil to clean the wood and the pews. It smelled heavenly to my young nose. That scent took my breath away. I developed a love for evergreen trees from a very young age. We were surrounded by pines and long leaf pines growing wild out in the country. I prefer the coniferous ones that are sturdy in all climates. It’s one scent I miss longingly.

This Orange & Evergreen has notes of green amber, the stronger and more herbal amber, instead of the golden. This makes it appealing to both men and women. It stays on the citrus side with bergamot and winds down with hints of light patchouli. The scent stays true to its name with pine needles, blue spruce, Douglas fir, among other evergreens.
