Pine Needle Tea Perfume Oil-woods, fir, moss, pine, honey, spices.

This is a scent reminiscent of actual pine needle tea. Now, being from the south, I prefer longleaf pine needle for the real thing. It’s good for what ails you because of its citrusy vitamin C content and in my opinion, it has a very citrusy flavor to it. The thing about pine needle tea is, you don’t have to have an actual “tea” to make it. It’s perfect by itself or with added ingredients most people already have in their household pantry.

For the purposes of this fragrance, juicy fir needle blends with earthy pine and moss. Added spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and Jamaican Pepper soften the conifer notes but, don’t overwhelm with spiciness. This blend has a rich honey accord for some added sweetness. There’s an extremely subtle note of lemon for a hint of citrus but, personally I think fir and pine alone provide a natural citrusy note. These notes hover over an extremely soft note of labdanum resinoid just because I was craving the stickiness of the pine needles themselves.

It’s always best to do a patch test on skin first whenever using pine or coniferous fragrances and/or spice notes.
