Reglisse Fragrance - black licorice, absinthe, spicy anise, green herbal fennel seed, intense almond, crystalized sugar, balsamic amyris, lavender, midnight violet, the smooth resin of benzoin and a hint of winter spearmint.

Reglisse Perfume Oil is not to be confused with my other absinthe fragrance, The Green Fairy. They both have totally different notes.

Reglisse or (licorice) started out as just that, black licorice. I love the scent of licorice, not so much the taste of it. I like the scent of any fragrance with anise/licorice notes on my skin, or the skin of another.

In the beginning, Reglisse hits you in the face with strong juicy black licorice. The absinthe is a cool note, as opposed to many absinthe fragrances that project warmth on the skin. This one has more of a chilled juniper note. The green herbal scent of fennel seed creates even more depth to the licorice vibe. Sweet sugar crystals layer over dark florals of lavender and midnight violet. A couple drops of winter spearmint mingle in, giving more of an icy cool lift to Reglisse. All these notes sit on a bed of woody amyris and resinous benzoin topped with rich amber-like styrax. Then comes the kicker, intense bitter almond. The almond was accidental. As I was playing around with the reglisse/licorice concoction, a couple drops of almond somehow managed themselves onto a ball of cotton with the original scent. Licorice and almond were then wedded. Two scents I'd never thought much of combining, became married and rocked as one scent. United. They are now a pair.

Top notes blast you with strong licorice/anise/absinthe
Middle notes turn from bitter almond to smooth almond, almost creamy and a hint spicy
Base notes are slightly, not overly, sweet powdery vanillic benzoin
