Sea Maiden at Night Diorama-beach theme shadow box-hanging wall art-assemblage art
 
This 6 x 4 x 1" box started out as unfinished wood that I painted a bubble gum/ cotton candy shade of icy pink. I lined the box with little rhinestones, cabs, and a seahorse. Inside the box is a mermaid surrounded by caviar beads and sequins to represent the varying shades of water in the ocean. A small half moon sits in the right corner to provide a glow as she sea bathes at night. She also has a bottle of wine and a wine glass with bubbles inside. She's surrounded by other little baubles and bottles with resin and flowers.
 
This would make a fabulous unique gift for girls and women of all ages who are mermaid lovers and who enjoy a beach theme with light icy pinks, soft greens, blues, and purple.
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece can be hung with the rope hanger and it's also equipped with a sawtooth hanger on back, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
