Sunshine Milk is all that is good about the beach and the sun. It’s the essence of exotic tiare flower combined with glimpses of toasted white coconut, tropical orchid and a balmy, warm ocean breeze against the salty warmth of skin. This scent reminds me of long days spent at the beach, after swimming in the surf for hours and the mere layer of sunscreen left on the skin that’s mostly been washed away by ocean waves. It’s purely like milk from the sun.

The Tiare flower has such an exotic, sensual and hypnotic scent. I call it the flower of seduction. The intoxicating heady scent generates desire. According to Polynesian legend, the flower was given to the Queen of the Mermaids, by Atea, the Oceanic God of Creation, to ensure its survival on the earth but, was later returned, because the flower had become a plant, which lived forever.

Monoi de Tahiti is such a special scent for me that floods my mind with beautiful memories of summers at the beach and tropical scents wafting through the air. In past years, I always slathered my skin with tiare oil in the summer and wore a tropical coconut vanilla perfume paired with it. The scent has since been discontinued but, it reminds me of playing on the beach with my sons when they were younger. I had to recreate this scent somehow. Sometimes, life can be all about scent memories.
