This is a fun little winter shadow box, and will definitely work long past Christmas with its winter theme of snowflakes, snowmen and polar bear. It's just a wee bit over 9" in width and just over 6" in length. The predominant colors are a light sky blue and red with a mere hint of silver, gold, and green. A few bottle brush trees are scattered within and I made the branches snowy on a couple of them. Two peg dolls were painted red and blue as a highlight for the themed coloring.
 
Winter Americana started with an unfinished wood box I painted and then painted over again to provide a more rustic and distressed look with a crackled effect. It contains small pieces I painted, and "glitterized" and the snowman in the middle is an upcycled enamel piece from one of my own brooches that broke many years ago. There are vintage children's blocks scattered in a couple of the windows, along with rhinestones, resin pieces, buttons, and miniature glasses filled with tiny ephemera. A glass doorknob is attached to the top to add whimsy.
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. 
 
This item is for home decoration only and is not a toy. It is freestanding but, can be hung with the sawtooth hanger on the back. Although the drawer pull looks off center, it does hang straight.
It is not intended for small children. 
The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
DO NOT use drawer pull to pick the box up. It's for decorative purposes only.
