Winter Owl and Snowflake Shadow Box Art -unique gifts, OOAK, mixed media.
 
This is a 5" x 5" shadowbox that started out with unfinished wood, that can be hung by its string hanger or by the sawtooth hanger on back. It can also sit freestanding. It's painted a medium shade of blue with glitter throughout. Various shapes, colors, and sizes of snowflakes are inside, combined with rhinestones, blue rose cabochons, ribbon charms, and handmade bezeled cabs inside backings.  One I made to represent the moon with stars inside and the other is a white haired lady with her black bird. I hand painted the tiny frosty blue block and covered it and the trees with snow. Two little owls sit side by side, taking everything in on their blocks of ice.  Lots of other ephemera lies within the box, even a tiny fluffy pom poms. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small flaws or imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. This would make a perfect whimsical gift for a winter lover or someone who has a winter birthday. It'll work well past Christmas with its varying shades of blue, white, and silver.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
