Winter's Tale Perfume Oil - roasted chestnuts, rum, pipe tobacco, honey, licorice, and firewood all sitting on a bed of tonka bean accord.

This is old New York City during the winter and all the sights, smells, and sounds. I love being in N.Y.C. during the winter, especially around the holidays, and buying all the roasted nuts and smelling all the different scents from the vendors. This scent has a prominent note of roasted chestnuts because I favor them so much.

I can smell the chestnuts (predominant note) roasting on the street, the children eating their licorice laced candies of the time, and the cedar wood used to burn the fires around the city and the woodsheds where they stored the wood. It is neat to think about fathers sitting around the fire and smoking their pipe tobacco while the children were reading. Beside him on the table is a grog of rum to stave off the cold. The note of honey in the scent is mainly to add sweetness, because honey is just one of those 'necessities' that can be used for so much.

All these notes lie on a soft bed of tonka bean accord. If you like 'nutty' type scents, then 'Winter's Tale' is for you. It is a unisex scent that is warm, just like sitting beside a good fire when it is freezing outdoors.
