Winter Wedding Perfume Oil- glistening snow, white rose, narcissus, iris, white musk, white amber accord, heliotrope, French Orris, white poinsettia, sugar and tonka accord. Slight woods and ozone also unfold. There is no dominant note in Winter Wedding. I wanted all the notes to blend evenly.
Picture a bride in the midst of winter. Her wedding day has arrived. She’s wearing a long white cape, her hands in her matching muff to stay warm before she receives her ring. She looks picturesque against the snow, soft as a whisper. Sparkling silver snow flakes shine on a bed of snow kissed white roses, narcissus, and iris. White poinsettias are carefully placed where she will walk. It’s a crisp arctic chill outside among the fir needles. She’s surrounded by enchanting forests that make the perfect backdrop for a fairytale wedding. The winter air smells fresh and clean and she thinks she catches a drift of a minty tinged breeze. It’s so swift and so light, so translucent, she’s not sure, as it passes quickly. All these scents are grounded by a soft white musk and smooth white amber accord, lying on a bed of soft delicate powder of shimmering orris and heliotrope. There’s a gray tint to the day. It’s the perfect soft, magical snowy day. She’s glad she chose it to be theirs. And as they leave, soft flurries start to fall.
This scent is made specifically for the wearer. This is her special day and her fragrance is hers. It’s a subtle scent that is a sound, a look, a gesture, an expression, an interlude, because they communicate without words. A fragrance she will share with her groom whenever they are close and no communication is needed. His breath, her skin, a shiver.
This isn’t your mother’s, your sister’s, your aunt’s or your brother’s. It’s all yours. It’s not a scent that changes with your skin’s chemistry. It’s a scent specifically for your skin, and your’s only. This isn’t just for a bride, but for you. You won’t walk around in a plume of fragrance because it’s close to you, on you, for your nose only. This is that soft scent that wears you as you wear it. It’s the one you catch whenever you turn over in bed, while it softly caresses your pillowcase and sheets. It’s one that becomes lactonic on the skin, like a part of you.
I am mesmerized by any facet of winter. As I was making this scent the past few months, I kept thinking, I need to add something more but, the more I did, the more I liked the scent I already had. So, even though many more scents can be paired or layered with this, “Winter Wedding” stands on its own. I like applying it throughout the day in different areas of my arms and wrists so I can smell the beginning and the ending at all times. It’s elegant, subtle, and personal.
The inspiration for this scent was my son and his beautiful bride in a winter wedding. It can be used as a unisex scent.
